On the other hand, Amazon.com is selling even lower margin products, but they are a darling of Wall St. by tapping into the market's fascination with the future world of e-commerce. Obviously the potential for this market is no where near as boundless as Wall St. anticipates now, and there will be LOTS of shake outs.
CPU seems to be exploiting this fascination by making their internet site an independent subsidiary. Perhaps they could branch out and sell other products as well.
But the fact remains there will never be a substitute for seeing and touching a product before you buy, especially computer hardware. And CPU is unrivaled in this area.
Management just needs to get off their derriere!
