Hawaii, the prodigy connection to me is just another sign that eventually all others follow the leaders.Dell creates a new market, surges past its competitors and lo and behold,we have compaq mirroring it!Intel cuts it prices and AMD peeps me too!me too!The netscape deal cemented in my mind(I have been referred to in the past by many who know me as cement headed)that any and all internet companies that need eyeballs will have have to offer like services.Aol is bossman and whatever aol does the others are sure to follow!I still feel there is much more story in aol than what we know today. There is a powerhouse with an ubiquitous presence more pervasive than any television or pc and that baby is the telephone. So my reasoning suggests that aol will try to retain eyeballs through mergers with companies like cbs and they will also want to extend themselves globally through the most singly used device on this planet-----the telephone! So when I see others barking up the same tree it suggests to me or better yet it smells to me the presence of the leader of the pack.AOL cannot become God if it doesn't control the telephone whatever shape this communication device takes on and I will always watch the competition to see how they ape the leader because in many ways this is the only avenue you have into what the leaders mind is really upto.I think a powerhouse is forming and I am betting that telephony will be at its head and hopefully IDTC will have a position.I still think AOL,CBS,DIS, and SUNW and possibly a Cisco might be the ones to look to for the partners.
