David Faber: (on CNBC Sqwawk Box this morning) Someone should be stupid enough to have shorted AOL in the last month.

IMO this stock has had a good runup in the last 2 weeks because of short squeeze. Also many people who went on the sidelines hoping to see a drop in the stock price for an opportunity to buy soon realized that they have lost more money waiting than if they had bought then and should the stock slow down or down a bit, they would have come out on the positive side anyway.

So the AOL runup is not primarily because of the CBS rumor. AOL can stand on its own. And yes, we may have a 3:1 if by earnings (which I believe is May 5) we have a price of close to 200 and the volume continues to maintain the current levels or higher.

Happy AOLing.
