Johnny Guitar...3 night stand here in Austin at Antones. Saw him last night. He played for 75 minutes. Then Clifford Antone (Legend) got up on stage and said ,"Let's here it for the great Johnny WinterS!". The moron said it 10 times, "WINTERS"! Johnny does not look good to me. I saw him last year and I was sure that I would never see him again because of his health (ie..it seemed I'd just seen him play his own funeral). He just kind of rocks back and forth, even between songs. His voice has nothing left. He's obviously blind now and I'm sure he can't even feed himself. HE is so feeble and frail. There is still the guitar. He has no energy,BUT, the kid can still play guitar. It's very sad really to see him that way, but I can't miss him when he comes to town. The first time I saw him, 20 years ago, He blew me away. One of the true GREAT guitar players! lost1
