I am amazed that CA lets dogs like that walk the street. We've had a few too many people and children eaten up here, to let dogs out of yards or off leashes. If I had your job, I'd be scared and like armed with a crab mallet or something.

I'm serious. I wouldn't let a 150 lb pitbull follow me around. It's like being a cop, having a gun aimed at you, and waiting to see if it's fired.

Be glad he was friendly, a beast of that size could do some damage. I've never run into a pit bull that was mean. I worry more about cocker spaniels and golden retrievers.
