e-mail: Real time Trading Forum, E-mail of intraday updates..John, there is a lot of interest in SI alerts, but for two reasons I'm not sure it is viable at this point: 1) it would have to be an 'added service' although in line with our low prices. Of course I keep saying that the SI updates are a 'good faith gesture' and not really part of our service. 2) E-mail them would make intraday updates 'more official' and you might not exercise DD if you can't see the charts/ quotes in front of you. However, I'm still mulling this over and am open to feedback, suggestions, etc.

3) Real time trading forum. At this point while actively trading it would be financially imprudent to give it up for a real time trading forum. But it is also something I would readily consider in the near future as long as the forum is not as 'restrictive' or 'monopolizing" as I tend to think it might be. I'm seriously considering giving up trading even though I love it, because I also like the 'teaching' aspect of trading and the idea of having Market Gems as a 'one stop shop for all traders/investors etc'at very affordable rates eventually might be a satisfactory alternative.

Just as an aside, I got a 'complimentary newsletter' this afternoon from a competitor who is also appears in Hoenig's book on research and stock selection sites. The newsletter costs $5,000 a year (really) and he's got some stocks in it that we have had. One of his 'highlights' this year was NITE. This is not available on the internet but as a 'hard-copy very glossy newsletter' service for the well-heeled who want to 'enlist' a private research company for stock selection.. I guess some of these research companies (and I use the word research loosely, I find most of his research readily accessible in Zacks for a $12.95 a month fee, without even a foray into Edgar's annual reports service) charge what the market will bear.
