jill......i couldn't agree more...see me, feel me, touch me....

difficult to judge the quality of a fine pair of leather shoes over the net....

i only ask that a necessary balance is recognized and admitted to by any e-tail analyst on how the various forms of retailing fit into the equation......mail order catalogue sales were for the convenience of turn of the century rural america...e-tailers are a natural progression from the concept...neither have or will supplant bricks and mortar....price for the shopper not always important...look at the modern "grocery store"....it sells everything...why order drug store products from the internet...when they are available as you food shop...amzn good niche concept...books and cd's...but to challenge walmart could be disaster....

the retailers growing and making profit....e-tailers growing and not making profit....one would think the latter due to a "low overhead concept' would be the superior model....so where do the revenues flow...poor management....perhaps?

ciao...ed a.

p.s....wyrd sisters.....weren't they a creation of r.crumb
