Cheers

I take a much more philosophical attitude about it. I note that in their regular day job many of them may have considerable expertise and garner normal respect. The only time they become irrational (we hope) is when they are blinded by hope and dreams of wealth. We can hardly blame them. Sometimes it takes Moses coming down from the Mountain with tablets of Stone to tell the people, ok enough of this Baal shit, let me tell about some real good holidays we can have! My day job was mining, milling and mining exploration for many a year. I have also played the mining market for about 38 years. So I get jaded when promoters make fabulous claims about their pet projects. But I can see other people getting sucked in and not asking critical questions at the right time.

We don't need Bre-X, all we need is a fair forum, respect for other's opinions and careful consideration of all the caveats. After all we are talking about mining promotion here. What we have after 3 years at Snap Lake (a buddy of mine flew the fuel drums in in 1996) is a long agonizing explo program that has yet to prove anything near economics that will convince a dispassionate observer. All we have is hope and much hyperbola. We are asked to believe rumours about this expert and that know it all. So how does the average man judge? Well on the facts presented so far by the company the chances of an economic mine are very iffy. The last round of drilling was no proof. It maybe that this 6,000 ton bulk sample cannot be trusted. If I had a 100 million dollars and they came to me for money I would tell them to trial mine 50,000 tons underground and ship the gravity float concentrate to Charles Fipkes Lab in Colorado or a suitable third party assayer and perhaps I would invest. And I would want blind sealed assays of every 5 tons that went through that mine and investigators in the mill on a 24 hour basis with camera records. There is no easy way to check a mine in every circumstance. I see no verifiability here.
