Tektronix's three major product lines are oscilloscopes and other measurement devices, video and networking products, and color printers and related products. The company is the world's #1 maker of oscilloscopes, which are used by engineers and technicians to view, measure, test, and calibrate electric signals. Its video and networking products include TV production and distribution equipment (nonlinear editing systems and signal-processing equipment). Tektronix also makes color printers (the Phaser line) that use its system of melting colored ink sticks to print in color. Nearly half of Tektronix's sales are from outside the US.
