Fred, You're Right again. When one realizes that fully 90% of Americans with VCRs can not program them, we can see how the digital "alphabet soup} confuses them. Outside of professionals(and ECD shareholders) hardly anyone knows the difference between CD-R CD-RW DVD-R DVD ROM DVD-RAM DVD -RW. Even you have problems in this area. DVIX is still another incomprehensible acronym. further confusing the consumer.
Sony has taken their revenge for the Betemax disaster of years past and everyone pays the piper. A huge potential industry almost completely stalled by corporate hatreds of each other and absolute greed. . ECD is of course, at least for now, the biggest loser of all.
But hang in there. I think nothing can stop phase change from being a giant, storage technology.
An ECD shareholder has either the courage of a lion or the stupidity of a donkey. Only time will tell.
