All I know is that it is added to the TSE300 on the 16th. If an index fund sells their existing position before then in Royal Oak then they're not really an index fund at that moment, no?

I really don't know what they do in this situation though.

BTW, if something is booted out of the TSE300 before the 16th, BII is first in line to fill the slot.
