My Morning

It began at 4:00. Well, yes, technically it was 5:00- but my body knows it was really 4:00 and wasn't fooled. Had to take Ammo to swim as CW isn't home yet.
Dropped Ammo off and headed home. Just as I failed to come to a complete stop at a turn, I noticed the car in back of me was a cop car. He followed me home. I hate that; I drive really bad around cops. Luckily he was diverted by a donut shop and left me. Then I had to turn around and go back to get Ammo at 6:45 because I needed his help getting the kitties to the vet. We arrived at the vet's at the same time as every large, cat-hating dog in Southlake was brought in. The fur flew; the cats clawed and fought. I started to sneeze and drip and snort. The vet people were disgusted at my weakness. Then they were horrified that I wouldn't sign for extra blood tests and additional extraordinary surgery if necessary. Just neuter them, I said, snuffling. Do you have any kleenex or should I use this form I won't sign to blow my nose?
What if something goes wrong? they gasped.
Ammo is looking at me accusingly. Yeah! He said.
We'll get more. I said, nastily. Plenty of cats out there. I wiped my nose on my sleeve and glared back at the receptionist who was dressed in a cute surgical outfit and was made up like she was going to be called on stage for an Oscar. Maybe she was hoping to meet a rich dogdaddy. Obviously I with my drippy nose and cheap attitude didn't qualify for a smile.
Ammo said a tormented farewell to the cats and we sped off to school.
I'm sitting in the left hand turn lane at a light when this idiot in front of me decides she doesn't want to wait for the light and tries to make a U-turn unsuccessfully. SHe's sideways in the road and she starts to reverse right at me. I lay on the horn and start yelling. NOT MY NEW CAR WHICH WAS JUST REPAIRED FROM ANOTHER TEEN RUNNING INTO IT TWO WEEKS AGO WHILE IT WAS PARKED. SHe ignores my horn. You know how we talked about memorable last words and what we would say? I now know. I said-
SHIT!! WHat the F*** IS SHE DOING!!!

TO Ammo's credit, after she backed into me, he didn't say anything about my failure to abide by the maternal rules of acceptable word usage. I got out to assess the damage, and yell at this poor girl between sneezes, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!" ANd she says, "My car doesn't turn right."

Her car doesn't TURN right????? SHe backed into me in the middle of a four lane highway while I screamed and honked at her. I don't THINK it was her car's fault. She doesn't seem very upset, but if she she drives like this regularly, she's probably always running into people.
Luckily all the damage done was to crack my license plate. Dropped Ammo off and came home to find the termite man here. I had left all those little bodies right where they fell. Wow, he said. You have a problem.
No I said. YOU have a problem.
So he pulled up the sunroom floor and started drilling big holes, which is what he's doing now.

I just want to go back to bed.
