Is Datek down?

I can only get in intermittently and when I do, generally get thrown out again with a 'site not available message'. The list of alternative servers itself seems to be unavailable.

SFD and all, are you watching ISLD via the java applet while awaiting a cancel? This is one way I get around the delayed cancel message. If the order I placed on ISLD suddenly vanishes, I know I've been executed. In my limited experience, this happens almost instantly.

To be sure, this might be problematic with a hyper-active issue like MSFT, since there might be multiple orders at the same size and same price on the ISLD book. But this rarely happens on the smaller caps I trade, and perhaps you can trade lots like 1700 rather than an even 1000 or 500 and identify "your" block more easily.

Edit: I gather Nick's previous post refers to something similar. I'll have to investigate the "details" feature of the new applet.

Would welcome other comments on this--does this method work for others? Have you all had reliable and prompt ISLD applet experiences RE your orders?
