Stopping now and negotiating is exactly what Milosvic wants. He has moved out all the Albanians from Kosovo and now he can repopulate with Serbs. Go NATO

Schlitz-haven't you heard Clinton - Clinton said he WILL NOT accept a peace agreement with Milo. Had Albright repeat the message. He is dug in for a fight just like Milo and right now he is smiling on live (clinton) waving hus hands around discussing his dealing with these "challenges". What bullshit. Jacalyn

But what is the diplomatic solution? Do you know of one that will be considered reasonably acceptable to those involved?

>>There MUST be a diplomatic solution. Stop the killing and go back to the negotiations and freaking find it.<<

With all due respect, Shtirlitz, a diplomatic solution was not found. Negotiations were held, but fell apart (to the best of my knowledge) when the fighting continued (between the KLA and the Serbs) and Milosevic refused a request for an investigation into the massacre of 45 ethnic Albanians.

Milosevic has shown no inclination to stop the killings. What sort of message are we sending to the world if we say "You can't do this!" and then say "Oh, okay, I guess you can"?

I think it was probably a mistake for us to start the bombings, but we're there now, and I don't think a sudden cease-fire on our side (with no guarantees of the same from the Serbs) is the solution.
