I for one hopes that Bill just ignores you and your venom why don't you read up on cookies and all the safeguards that netscape etc built into cookies,java and javascript.. you just show your stupidity all over the place I wish SI would have cookies at their site.. makes life so much easier

And you've been practicing your "ignorance" for 5+ years now, remember? Speaking of ignorance... Hate to confuse you with facts, but cookies are not needed to do any of the hit tracking that Bill noted. The Internet address of any machine requesting a page is readily available to any Web server and has nothing to do with cookies. By tracking the Internet addresses of the hits, programs can and do come up with these statistics. I can point you to web pages that discuss methods of tracking if you don't want to take my word for it. It seems to me that someone owes someone am apology for calling them a LIAR. Nothing to be embarrassed about by making a mistake - everyone does. However if I had ranted and raved and called people names when I didn't know what I was talking about, I'd sure has hell feel like a fool. How about you? Makes me kind of wonder how many of the other things you post that I don't have familiarity with are also spoken from a point of ignorance.
