TISC Interoperability Lab to Showcase Security Industrya's Latest Technologies

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--As security standards continue to
evolve, product interoperability remains a top priority for organizations.
To address these issues, The Internet Security Conference (TISC) will host the TISC
Interoperability Lab, a live network that demonstrates how organizations can combine
multi-vendor solutions to create a secure enterprise environment. The Interoperability
Lab will be open to all TISC attendees April 20-22 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.
In the lab, conference attendees will see the security industry's hottest products in
action from firewalls, authentication servers, extranet management and security,
intrusion detection, security attack recognition and response to virtual private
networking, circuit-level proxies, secure electronic commerce, content filters, and
security auditing.
"The TISC Interoperability Lab provides a unique opportunity for visitors to speak
directly with vendor technical staff and dig deeper than typical exhibit-floor single
product demonstrations," explains Lisa Phifer, Technical Director of the Interoperability
Lab. "The lab is a key extension to TISC's education and symposium program. Attendees can
learn about security from experts in the workshops and then see these technologies put to
work in a live, multi-vendor network."
The April '99 lab will feature multi-vendor demonstrations on the following topics:

-- Network Attack and Penetration/Intrusion Detection
-- IPSec/IKE and Certificate Authority Interoperability
-- IPSec Configuration and Benchmarking
-- Policy-Based Security Management
-- Layered VPNs for Remote Access and Extranet Connectivity
-- Authentication as an Enabler for E-Commerce.

Companies demonstrating in the lab include: Aventail, AXENT Technologies
(NASDAQ:AXNT), Compatible Systems, CyberSafe, Ernst & Young, Internet Devices, Internet
Security Systems (NASDAQ:ISSX), Netscreen, Network Computing's Real-World Labs, Network
Associates (NASDAQ:NETA), TimeStep, Xedia, Radguard, and RedCreek Communications.
CheckPoint (NASDAQ:CHKP), Entrust (NASDAQ:ENTU), PublicPort, and VeriSign (NASDAQ:VRSN)
will support these demonstrations remotely.
