There were mentions of Sycamore and Monterey earlier. I understand just enough about optical networking to be dangerous and insuffieciently enough to easily embarrass myself. I found the website for Sycamore (http://www.sycamorenet.com/), but not for Monterey. Are Sycamore's products optical switches? Optical routers? Something else? From their site, they seem to be an alternative to Ciena's current product line (am I right on that?). Hypothetically, would Sycamore's and Ciena's product lines complement each other or overlap? How about Monterey's and Ciena's? RP
