I finished college in 79...oh I remember them well. I had no money then for investments, but I remember everybody racing to buy gold, and nobody wanted stocks or bonds.

Yup, the brewskies haven't killed those particular cells, things peaked in '81. The blended prime rate for the entire year was 18.87%. A lot of outfits bit the dust under that weight.
