As we've seen, the big PC makers have taken a hit (CPQ,DELL,IBM) from the "sub $500" PC. Coupled with this trend, PC's are now more powerful and cheaper than their UNIX workstations cousins. Now introduce Linux and you have a cheap, powerful, UNIX workstation... When will we see this impacting SUNW workstation sales ? Also with Intel Profusion being released this year, SUNW has some serious price competition in the 4-8way server market ?
