Rumors of the Internets demise are premature.

Day traders or not?
Is Wall Street becoming more interested in Net stocks?

Harmon and others note that medium-sized and large Web companies are
seeing 25,000-share and greater blocks change hands -- a sign that
mutual funds and other organizations are taking Internet stakes.

Harmon notes that secondary sales of stock by Web companies are also a
sign that large Wall Street investors are willing to take significant stakes in
the next generation of Internet companies. For one thing, a mutual fund is
likely to buy shares only in companies whose "float" -- the amount of
shares available for daily trading -- is ample enough to allow efficient
investing.
