Schwab Co-CEO Says Total Trades Grew 40% In Jan.-Feb.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Charles Schwab Corp.'s (SCH) total trades grew more than 40% in
the first two months of the year, said Co-Chief Executive David Pottruck.

Internet trades are accounting for a larger percentage of the San Francisco brokerage firm's total
trades, Pottruck told CNBC Tuesday. He declined to provide more details.

Online trading is attracting both sophisticated and new investors, Pottruck said. "People are learning
the upside of an economy that grows."
