Nam, check out recent PC Computing (?) magazine. They have a great article in there re: online brokerages. I trade through Waterhouse. They charge $12/trade for <5,000 share trades. Sucks if you're buying a lot of shares of a cheap penny stock but most times it's not so bad. I was tempted to switch to Webstreet but the article said EVERY TIME they called in and tried speaking w/a rep they had to wait a MINIMUM of 20 minutes. Not good. Local Waterhouse office picks up phone in <1 minute. Good luck...
