RTev, It means MSFT will not let the delivery of Windows2k slip past this fall. Now they have a lot more at steak (so it appears). I personally think MSFT should not limit itself to software only. They should proceed with getting a big enough ISP service if possible. Maybe even go after some cable companies as acquisitions or significant investments. They want to be able to excercise "significant influence" for those companies and have to make some larger investments. They got the cash for it.
