This may be the reason for part of today's move....

NT Terminal Server Shipment Problems Lead To Rumors

Apr 06, 1999 (Tech Web - CMP via COMTEX) -- Confusion over the future
of the Windows NT Server Terminal Server Edition (WTS) has led to
speculation that it has been withdrawn from the market.

But the software is safe and sound and is still shipping, despite
resellerconcerns to the contrary, and Microsoft is eager to say its
inability to manufacture copies of WTS does not indicate the
termination of the software.

The problem with the software is a result of Microsoft losing its court
case with Sun Microsystems over Java -- in which Sun accused Microsoft'
s J++ form of Java as incompatible with all systems -- and this led to
Microsoft having to destroy a large amount of software, affecting its
manufacturing.

As a result, WTS is in short supply and resellers have been struggling
to obtain copies.

NCD -- a manufacturer of desktop computers that run with WTS -- said
resellers had contacted it and asked if it had heard about WTS being
killed off.

Network Week contacted Microsoft U.K. to request a copy of the software
for a review of NCD's latest software, which runs on top of WTS, and
was told no copies were available. A spokeswoman confirmed there were
shipment problems, but said WTS was still a shipping product and there
were no plans to remove it.

Microsoft has still to ship Service Pack 4 for WTS. It said the ship
date for SP4 has not slipped, adding its plans for the software have
always been to ship it by April.

See the Microsoft website for details of SP4.

What is going on now? Giving points back in a hurry. Looks like late afternoon profit taking but I wonder if we going to see an up trend before the split Friday.
