The same has happened to me. I'm at the point where I no longer trust ETRADE to keep my records straight for me. I keep all confirmations and now need to sit down one day and make sure that my initial opening balance from one year ago matches the balance that I have from records. I wouldn't be surprised if I found a glitch (say, a profit gain missing) from my account. Advice to everyone, keep all monthly statements, and confirmation notices. Y2K is coming. Don't expect ETRADE to track for you.
