I have no problem with people being racist. I think freedom includes the right to be racist. But lets not play mind games and redefine the word racist in an effort to squash political correctness- that would be intellectually dishonest. The writer was clearly being racist- which is fine. If someone calls me a nigger that is a racist thing to say. It isn't only racist because I THINK it is racist. It is racist because socially we all know what is racist and what isn't. Just like when I say tree- you picture a tree. It isn't all in your mind- it is in both our minds- it is the nature of communication- it wouldn't work otherwise.
