Lifeway Foods ( LWAY ) the largest producer of Kefir in the US. About one month ago, Lifeway Foods began their national advertising campaign. This is the first time in their 13 year history that they have initiated this magnitude of advertising. I have seen their full page ad in both Natural Health Magazine (page 85) and American Health Magazine (page 60). Both of which are national health magazines. They recently began advertising on the internet as well. Here are two sites that I know of: naturalinvestor.com nfm-online.com They plan on advertising on radio, cable, TV, magazines and newspapers. They also do in-store demos and sponsor events. A couple of months ago they began to sell their Kefir Starter product online at two sites that I know of: kefir.com ( Their homepage ) and on USAToday's marketplace website: usatoday.behealthynow.com I spoke with the CEO last week and he told me that a grocery chain in California would soon be carrying Lifeway's nutriceutical beverage, Basics Plus in approximately 100 of their stores in California. They have the exclusive rights to the patent which just came out last year. Go to the US Patent site and put in the patent # 5,744,134 and read what this beverage can do for the gastrointestinal system and the immune system.
