Louie, Thanks for the EMC update. I think this is an encouraging development, end users are not going to be responsible for these interop problems and know they can't get the best price with proprietary SAN's. I think EMC did us a favor by pushing the issue. That doesn't mean the Electro-Political minefields have been cleared, but it does mean that the market looks desirable enough to the key players to move it along. Hope it is more than lip service. BTW- The Amdahl/ McData news is at least several months old as Amdahl had previously named McD as supplier for its 32 port director, todays pr looks like a product announcement for the Amdahl SAN solution.
