TCI cable access is also East Coast centric in its distribution of services. Yankee Group reported that @Home had more than 331,000 subscribers to their broadband services in the middle of March, 1999. With Road Runner's recent surge in growth, the distinction between the top Internet cable access providers based on subscribers may be as few as 81,000 users.

Nicholas- Thanks for the post. The reporter obviously screwed up, because the 331,000 was the Dec. 31, 1998 subscriber number! I would expect @Home to be a helluva lot higher when this March comparison was made. Duhh! That is careless reporting! When I called @Home in the middle of March, I got the same numbers, but I KNEW it was the December year-end figure.

There is one good thing. If @Home's numbers increase as much as RRs, LOOK OUT! We will have a nice gain that day!
