Dear Bill: The volume in GARD today was due to their RERELEASE of that totally HYPE press release issued a few days ago. I cannot believe they can get away with this. JDN

Bill,

Been away for a few days.

Just looked at this one.

At first look, I was certain that I had just missed something by being away over April 1. This has to be a joke, right?

Tell me this is a joke. Tell me that there's some way to get fake listings and quotes out on the BB, and that somebody has just been putting out press releases for several months in preparation.

This is the mother of all scams.

Love the way they managed to insert the name of virtually EVERY major tech company into their release, then quietly note that they are only there for comparison, not to imply any relationship or deals.

Too bad BB stocks aren't marginable?

Bill--I picked GARD up on my radar two or three weeks ago.
Suggested it for the watch list on Anthony@Pacifics thread. Recently took the run up and I suggested it as a short for those who had a account that allowed them to whack it. Wish I could get at it.
Zeev Hed posted to me about it on Roger's thread and I could just about see him shaking his head as he typed the post.
You join a long list of market sharp people I have seen that are just in awe of it.
The stock has a float of 2.3 million and a total of 72.8 million shares outstanding from what I can find out. I have no way of determining the accuracy of the float numbers. For some reason I think it will be increasing every time it runs up. Not a lot of information out on this one and people are finding conflicting numbers.
All the Best
Druss

Re: GARD (would that be regard?)
Anyway, the scam indeed is gorgeous, but the real meat of the scam is disclosed in the 'prospectus' the company has issued as part of their current effort to raise $25 million by selling revenue participation, convertible "bonds". They are issuing about 50 million new shares to the 2 top insiders at 1 cent each! There will be a minimum of 72 million shares outstanding. In fact, this is a done deal (all except raising the $25 million new cash from idiots). They admit in the prospectus (but you have to read it very carfully), that they have no technology, no assets, no partners, no revenue etc. They do forcast for discussion purposes only that they may do $20 million in revenues in FY ending 6/00, well on their way to 1 1/2 billion!
At 6 now, they will probably run it again to who knows where, but this is a billion dollar fraud.
I happen to have a bit of a short in this pos. I love these billion dollar bb stocks!
