Don't forget Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Somalia, Indonesia, and on and on. Why pick Serbia? a. These people are white Westerners, so to the Administration they matter more than orientals, blacks, or Pacific islander. b. Serbia is convenient to U.S. air bases. The other places aren't. Look how hard it was for us to hit Pakistan (and how many cruise missiles misfired or went astray) (But we have better maps of the Balkans, so maybe we can target our missiles there better.) c. Clinton didn't need a distraction (both sexual and political) when those situations heated up.
