RE: Eroding Zip top-line sales?

Ken,

>> I think that both you and Mike are making the mistake of ignoring the overall trend of 1998: declining ZIP total revenues. To just dismiss an entire year as 'an aberration' will cost you in the end. <<

I'm certainly not ignoring 1998 Zip revenue trends. They're completely explained by the retail to OEM shift and declining retail prices. If you look at retail Zip sales, OEM Zip sales, and Zip disk sales separately, forecast increases or decreases for each separately, look at the prices that Iomega gets for each, and look at the margins that Iomega gets for each, I think you'll see that the declining top line will end after Q1.

Of course we won't see who is right for another 3 1/2 months.
