Confluence,
Here is some data from 1993 for type II or group II kimberlite dykes(J.J. Gurney et al, Kimberlite dyke mining in south Africa):
1. Bellsbank and Bobbejaan dykes at a 1993 average value of $250.00 per carat.
2. Ardo mine-no numbers given but reported as "not quite as good as at Bellsbank and Bobbejaan"
3. Star dykes reported at a 1993 range of $200-$250 per carat

Changes in diamond prices over the last 6 years would put those numbers where WSP's are now, and also for the same source type: group II kimberlite(comparing apples to apples, so to speak).

regards,
teevee

Very few have that sort of valuation but so far we are on track to be another one. It has been said and perhaps some agree that final values may be lower but most probably still over $20o and that will make a mine. - denis
