To Jim: Yes, there is one flavor of CDMA which could be used in China for fixed wireless B-CDMA. I looked at this years ago as a possible threat and decided it ain't much of one anyway.

There is an agreement by the Q re use of B-CDMA. Q and IDC cross licensed their patents as I recall.

While stand alone WLL is certainly a possibility and B-CDMA could be used for that purpose, my understanding is that plain ole CDMA is more efficient and will certainly be more used around the world.

Also there are many efficiencies in combining WLL and mobile. Only the Q's technology can do that.

In any case, we will see.

So far, B-CDMA hasn't exactly set the world on fire, but maybe it will light the lamps in China. :-)

As always, time will tell, no?
