I agree about the feds concern but they usually have little power to influence particular market activity. In think Greenspan has hoped that the market would go through a period of consolidation and rotation away from the high valuations and toward ignored sectors. The Internet has created an investment climate that is a lot like a big lottery - a development that has VERY serious ramifications. Except for minor corrections along the way, I'm afraid that it still has a way to go before it runs out of steam. The Internet still has it's training wheels on and investors are betting on the Tour de France.
