I guarantee you Dan, until Linux has a comparable graphics interface instead of "unix" command line, it won't help to have "cheap" computers with Linux. Windows98 is bundled at a low price (less than $100) with new computer purchases. And it has drivers, "plug-and-play" all set up, that Linux cannot match. I own the SuSe Linux 6.0, and it is not for the novice. Too much already runs on Windows98, to see much change over the next 3-4 years.
Too much to learn, to be "up-and-running" with Linux, for the avg guy.
