I know you can use the DSL Modem concurrently with normal phone service.

Amy J. has indicated that two PCs can also use the DSL modem at the same time - but I myself don't know.

According to their web site, US West charges you for DSL in addition to the charge for your voice line. This, plus the facts that the charge does not include an ISP and the service is a fraction of the speed of cable, shows you that the Baby Bells still have the "We don't care. We don't have to. We're the Phone Company." attitude. Of course, a cable connection is available to about 10 people nationwide right now. It was 7, but they've had 50% growth.

11) Do customers need to have voice service or is it included
in the price of the MegaBit Services offering?

MegaBit Services are an enhancement to existing voice service. Customers must have existing telephone service with U S WEST to order MegaBit Services. The charges for MegaBit Services are in addition to the existing voice services the customer is paying.

As far as multiple computers, you can do that by paying Wingate for their Windows-based software or you can do it for free on Linux. I have an old junker 486 I use as a Linux internet gateway for three Windows machines.
