Hello thread: the $3 minimum fee to be charged by AT&T is excellent news and appears to have provided momentum. Assuming this charge will apply to 15% of AT%T's long distance costumers, i.e. 10.5mm accounts, it represents $378MM of additional revenues going straight into operating earnings. For the current year the pre-tax impact is 8.5c per share. For next year the impact is 17c per share. Yesterday's market reaction was very enthusiastic.The stock took off in the last 30 minutes with heavy volume equal to 60% more than the average trading for the last six months.
