I haven't found anything to base today's rise on, but I did hear one of the venture capital general managers say he was looking for investments in communications silicon, specifically including lithium niobates. Since there aren't many players in that space: LU, UNPH, Sumitomo, and SDLI being the only ones, perhaps some who heard the comments did their homework. Good day, to be sure. Pat

immi, I would guess it had something to do with SDLI taking off like a rocket after they announced the buyback.... jay

Actually there is a optical conference going on. Etek,SDL, & UNPH are presiding. I will try to post the link if I have time. Last week was on, this week there are 2 days. I have been watching ETEK buy order of 2,500... This thing is waiting to take off just like sdl did... meanwhile, I read a report on SDL which basically says business is as strong as every. Will try to post it here. Immi Just remembered it is the SoundView Optical Conference on April 29th. Check it out at www.e-tek.com under news & events. SDL is also at this conf
