Re: Yahoo earnings. The street says 8 cents, the whisper says 10 cents. I think they may make the whisper, but it's in the stock and some portfolio manager has the guts to start the cascade by nailing down his gain.

What do you mean by numbering my entry? As in #1 for my first entry?

Thanks...

Mr. Goldfinger:

Believe Mr. Brown might have hit the nail on the head. VERY nervous chat on the YHOO board, where I usually rant and rave; even the longs who expect 1Q earnings to go over the top sound like they will use that "victory" to heave a sigh of relief, then dump and run. Suspect we could be looking at a very interesting day tomorrow, one way or the other.

One way or the other, YHOO has now trebled any value that could be considered "unreasonable." It is so stratospherically over-priced that, as Mr. Brown suggests, it could indeed serve as a catalyst if it starts a serious tumble...

But then again, I'm a long-time YHOO bear, with the scars to show for it. Fortunately, I've lost my dollars with puts, losing only what I knew I could lose without bleeding to death. The shorts, I believe, are all dead now. RIP. They were so, so right, but so, so wrong with their timing.

Pretty easy to look at an outside reversal day and call the top after the close. No fair. I thought you had to at least pick 2 days ahead of time. How about we all get more guesses if you're going to bend the rules...what a load of crap.
