hsg -- Hard to blame anyone for loving these stocks. I think most would agree that supply/demand has something to do with valuations, but there have been a number of indications that the increase in supply has not yet overwhelmed demand -- and if the last few days are any indication, there is a lot of demand out there. For more established companies -- say for example MSFT with 5 bilion shares outstanding -- widespread ownership provides some stability because there is a very liquid market for the stock. With these more speculative stocks, lack of liquidity could arise if everybody tried to sell at once of course. But you will find many on this thread who will ask -- why would everybody want to sell at once? The higher these stocks go, the more risk that they will sell-off just because people start to sell them.
