Slider, it can now be revealed, "true confessions" time here <vbg>. Are ya ready? I TRADED, yes traded, the big November discount rate rally. I bought one of my old faves VRC @ 6.5 and sold @ just under 12, I even made money trading HLX from 7 to 9. To me that was a rally worth trading. I did not trade the Dec./Jan. rally! A mistake? Maybe. But I held my Glbl which I bought at around 5.5 and sold around 10 and small change on this rally. I had to watch it go down to 5, big deal. My philosophy is, if one can't sweat out a buck or two on the down side "TO CATCH A MAJOR BOTTOM" you don't even belong in the game. But that's my philosophy and nobody elses. So what am I saying? I've GOT to be in for the big rally most of us bulls know is coming. That's the one ya absolutely do not want to miss! I want that 3 to 6 month meaty rally. You know, the kind that retires you?! I will have it too! I'm stayin on this sector like white on rice till I get it. Yeah, I'll trade for 60 to 90% when the market hands it to me. Can't turn my back on that money, but by the same token that money goes right back in on dips. I guess you could call my plan the Modified Slide or the Psuedo Doggy Hold or whatever. Your strategy is sound because you stay close to the sector, and will therefore not miss the big un when it comes. Will you? I think not. You take the high road and I'll take the low road, but I'll still see ya at the top! I only rooted for the Celtics after they beat the Knicks and played L.A. in the championship. McHale used to KILL the Knicks, oooooooh, I hated that man with a passion! Yes, my friend, the Boston Garden is basketball hallowed ground, but don't ever forget one of the most electrifying moments in all sports history. The day that wounded Willis Reed came out of the Madison Square Garden locker room like El Cid himself, and sank his first two shots in the championship game against the Bucks. Never has a championship basketball game been won on two measly shots at the beginning of a game, but it was that day. The New York fans made Lew Alcindors life hell during that game. And who can forget the mighty chant of a New York crowd chanting: DEEE fense! DEEE fense! DEEE fense! As opposing teams crumbled under it's emotional weight. Talk about your home town advantage! Yes ... it counts ... and the FOUUULLL! Ah, sports! Ain't it GRAND!
