I personally think that the current management will do its damndest to turn things around; but the number of alternatives that they have to work with has dwindled down to a limited few.

Although feedback from oil industry people is encouraging in its indications that there seems to be something saleable, marketable, convertible, recoverable, developable or exploitable; the wide knowledge of the company's plight (a gift from past management) and its need to fight the clock and the dwindling supply of $$, creates the need for the current management to use every bit of skill that it can bring to bear on the problem of realizing some value for its shareholders.

Unfortunately, in addition to their skills, we are in a position that we also need some luck, so any appropriate applications of "Knock[ing] on wood, rub[bing] the O'rabbit's foot, etc." which might bring positive results should also be encouraged.

We aren't quite at rock bottom, but are close enough to be able to feel the tops of the rocks and to notice that they have a lot of jagged edges.
