This is what Barry had to say about the US - it can defend itself FOR ANY REASON. So if we committed atrocities Barry would say we had the right to defend ourselves. But he is unable to see the parallel. He is highly irrational. Are the majority of the American people like that?

me: << You say here "FOR ANY REASON" so that would include, for example,
turning people of Japanese decent out of their house and herding them into
concentration camps- yes? You SAID "for any reason". >>

Barry the Slob:Yes, I said that if someone would attack us for "any reason" we would have to protect
ourselves. Why are you stuck on the words "any reason"? Do you want to permit others
to attack us under certain circumstances? What I am saying is, that the "reason" another
country attacks us doesn't matter. All that matters is that we would be under attack.
What is wrong with you?

About putting Japanese people into camps during World War II. While that wasn't the
most civilized action that was taken, this world was in a world war. Our entire existence
was at peril. There were many enemy spys in this country. While I don't condone the
many innocent people that were put into camps, I can understand the terror and fear
that our officials and people felt during the war.

What did you think that World War II was, a picnic? A football game?
