I think that the better approach is that the when the price of the stock is moving up it means that more people want to buy the stock at a particular price than want to sell it. When the price is moving down then more people want to sell than buy at a particular price.

So you are a TA'er (g)
Now add some probability to that and you would under stand even more.
By the way...RSI, Moving averages, vol,MF, etc do not work !!!!

chuzz...re: money flow...

i agree with all you say....but if enough do it...then what is the cause and what is the effect...i could care less of the machinations that the analysis causes...look only at the result...we are in a market with a trading mentality...i look at three things prior to establishing or closing a position, be they in the common or the derivitive...real time bid/ask, bid/ask size, and stochastic momentum indicator....the first two are real time, the last from the previous day close....too tedious to sit in front of a multiframe screen and attempt to absorb excess data...my mind processes even less numbers than your feline capabilities....try to keep it simple, like looking out the window and watching your neighbor dig a whole in his lawn...you wonder why...but what you are sure of is his action...view stocks the same way.....ed a.

p.s...just heard on the news, a massachussets company recycling plastic parts of old computers, faxes, printers, etc...turning them into an asphalt like substance to patch pot holes..

CTC,

One clarification, some folks are forced to buy the stock even if they don't want to buy it. :-)

This has a flip side, but not for those who don't use margin.

Stock price is merely a relative term. If the stock price goes up it means that the value of the stock is higher than the relative value of money, or the value of money is relatively lower. Hence the tie of stock price to interest rates.

I appreciate the comparison of assigning shapes to clouds to TA. Omens have driven major decisions for millennia. What I have never figured out is if a black and white cat crosses ones path is that good or bad?
