I don't know about AOL but even the official informations on CNN and others are not always objective. It's war down there and I think this is part of the game of both sides. I live 1 1/2 hours by plane from the area and have some direct information from the place. I don't trust either side on informations released. IMO this war doesn't solve any problem, but will create a lot of new conflicts.
