VSE SYMBOL: ARP APRIL 7, 1999 Argentina Gold: Hole 142: 190m of 4.8 g/t gold Incl. 65m of 12.2 g/t Gold; Significant Expansion of High Grade Zone at Filo Federico VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Argentina Gold Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the results from Holes 142 and 139 drilled along the northern flank of the Western Filo Federico target. Western Filo Federico is one of several targets within the Veladero project located in San Juan province, Argentina. Western Filo Federico - high grade zone expands further along NNE sector Hole 142 and 139 both returned significant high grade gold intercepts at the north-northeast sector of the Western Filo Federico target. Hole 142 was collared 120 metres east of Hole 135 and Hole 139 was collared 50 metres west-northwest of Hole 121 at the northernmost zone of the property, along the high grade east-west corridor.
