Intel has self-imposed restrictions on their engineering that AMD does not - giving AMD a HUGE advantage.

Intel budgets their resources, expenditures and risks in order to insure a high probability of returning VALUE to their shareholders - in the form of PROFITS !

AMD has no such restrictions - they borrow money, borrow technology and spend it like the DEVIL - going balls-to-the-wall-at-all-costs to compete with Intel. They ignore any thoughts of returning a profit to their shareholders and just SPEND SPEND SPEND.

That gives AMD a HUGE ADVANTAGE over Intel.
