Brian, thread, here's an article describing EMC's taking over the crown from Gillette for largest market cap company in Massachusetts. From my old stomping grounds newspaper, the Boston Globe. Pretty general article, but speaks highly of EMC. But even those who are skeptical about today's stock prices are not skeptical about EMC's prospects. Although it is far from a household name, on Wall Street the company is mentioned in the same breath as the technology elite - Microsoft, America Online, Dell Computer, Cisco Systems. ''They are about as dominant as anyone in technology in their space,'' says Rob Joseph, an analyst with State Street Research in Boston.
