Merrill Lynch "Revenues FM Layer 3switch segments expect 173%Increase to $1.7 billion in 1999. Nortel-Bay Networks, 3COM, and Cisco are leaders in this segment with market shares of 26%, 17% and 14% respectively, and we expect them to benefit from growth in this segemnt."

The "Palm Pilot" everyone is talking about is just one of 3Com's many products. It's not their primary source of revenue.
